Updated. The doctor called back and J also has pneumonia in his right lung. We have been back to the Dr. for more x-rays. We are keeping an eye on him and hoping things do not get worse. Right now there is no wheezing, but all of this is contagious and so C and I are in jeopardy of catching it.
Yesterday was so long that I don't even want to remember it. We spent 4 hours at the hospital. J received x-rays for abdominal pain, blood draw, strep test, and just try to make a 3 year old pee in a cup when he does not want to. The results were positive on the strep which is what is causing the nausea and fever and the x-rays show gas in the intestine and stomach and could be the reason for the pain. When we walked back into the Dr's office to get the results of all the test we had done J said "not again." I could not blame him at all. He was asleep by 7:00 last night and slept until 7:00 this morning. I had to wake him up during the night for some Motrin for the fever, but he went right back to sleep. He is now fever free, so hopefully we are on the mend.
My girl, C, is a trooper. When I took her to school I was in the process of making an appt. for J and told C that if I was not there when she got home from school that the neighbor would be there to watch her. It was 5:00 when I got home, a full 2 hours after the bus dropped C off and she was doing great. Our neighbor had ordered pizza and so she had eaten. It is not hard to deal with being pushed aside for a sick kid and dad is not here to pick up the slack. So I owe C big time for being a good daughter and a great sister.
